5 out of 5 stars! Could Not Put This Book Down -
By Michelle Sheppard - This review is from: Santa's Village Gone Wild!: Tales Of Summer Fun, Hijinx & Debauchery As Told By The People Who Worked There. (Volume 1) (Paperback)
I was so interested in reading this book because I always wanted to work at Santa's Village and was never hired. As a teen I was very envious of the people working at Santa's Village, now after reading this book...I am insanely jealous!!
Christopher's stories made me laugh and sometimes even cry, his detailed account of the craziness of working at this amusement park made me feel like I was almost there. So although I was never lucky enough to obtain a job at Santa's Village, I do feel like I am more connected with the wonderful history of Santa's Village. The book gave such fantastic historical information too, it makes me proud to live in the area that was host to such an amazing park.
Christopher as an author puts himself out there and exposes things about himself while working at Santa's Village that maybe less confident authors would not be willing to share. The honesty and down to earth written words makes this book a must read, whether you are familiar with Santa's Village or not, readers will find some type of connection with this fabulous book!

This book was so enjoyable to read! Even though I didn't work at Santa's Village, it reminded me so much of the jobs I had when I was 18, 19, 20....when "work" was really all about flirting, seeing what you could get away with, and making "naughty" after-work plans. This book will take you back to that simple, fun time of your youth; will crack you up with anecdotes & stories; and will entertain the whole way through.
5 out of 5 stars! Brought back some forgotten Memories! -
This book really brought back some forgotten memories. I used to have a blast at the old Park with my family growing up.It paints such a vivid portrait of the rides and experiences that I felt like I re-lived the old magic. Not to mentionthat is book is so hilarious and cleverly written. The illustrations are funny as well and add a nice touch to back up many of the stories.I give this book my highest recommendation whether you ever went to the park or not. If you've ever just been to any amusement park,or worked at carnival at young age, you'll find common ground with this book.

5 out of 5 stars! Great memories!! -
I used to work at Santa's Village so when I found out there was a book in the works I could not wait to buy it.When I bought it I could not wait to get it delivered and then I read it.I am barely through a third of it and I cannot put it down. There was what seemed like a lifetime of memories that came to life for me while reading the book.I could literally smell the parks food and the heat coming off the blacktop.I would love to see some of these stories on a movie screen. There is so many feelings that it takes you through.I literally cried when I read the story about Santa making a childs last wish come true.I hope that you would too. That story alone was worth the price of the book.I have said these words quite a few times but this time I truly mean it.This book is priceless.I want to say hi to everybody that ever worked at Santa's Village and thank you all for the greatest memories even the bad one's because I feel that working there helped shape who I am today.I learned so many things there.I worked grounds in the 80's.My first name is Victor. To my friends who worked there a big hello.Medusa,Fred,Chris,Psycho (You know who you are)Juan and all those I might have forgotten.Hey guys remember Chrystal?WOW!!What boy didn't fantasize about her through out those hot summer days? When is the movie?Al Pacino can play me looking back and narrating and Dolly Parton as,you guessed it if you worked there.
